QuoteDear Folio friends,
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live.
Folio Weekly has experienced the economic freefall of this outbreak, and I have picked this moment to retire and conclude our business operations.
If you have been among our loyal readers, you are a treasure to me.
If you have been an advertiser in Folio Weekly, you made a worthy choice in locally owned media.
If you sold us products or services, you did us right.
If you allowed distribution of Folio Weekly at your business, your generosity cast light in this corner of Florida.
If you agreed to be interviewed for a story in Folio Weekly, I hope you feel we treated your story with respect.
If your name ever appeared in our masthead as an editor, writer, salesperson, designer, business manager, photographer, route driver, freelancer or contributor let it be known you were among the best at your craft.
Stay healthy and hope to see you soon.

Sad to see. Jacksonville needs as many outlets as possible. FW for years laid it on the line when the main stream media wouldn't. They had more than their fair share of great stories and revelations and often put the spotlight on the dark corners of our City.
They will leave a great legacy. I hope one day we can find a replacement for the voices it represented.
That is bad news. I really hate to see them go.
SIKE!
They're back (https://www.jacksonville.com/news/20200608/folio-weekly-returns-as-folio-20)!
WooHoo!!
To quote Colin Clive ([NOT Doctor] Henry Frankenstein) ... "It's AAALLLIVVVVE ... It's AAALLIIIIVVVVE!!!"
Who is behind Folio 2.0? Seems like it came back pretty quickly

Stay tuned.
I appeared on Folio cover 1991 " Good News Black Creek" and later, declined front cover photo regarding a weak article involving Freedom Commerce Center Expansion,Florida Wildlife Federation and ridiculous weak RiverKepper involvement.
Non News
Endless Futile Flailing.
Good Riddance!

Looks like it's a local attorney (who has been a regular recipient of their awards)

A month after Folio Weekly shut down, local attorney John Phillips is bringing back Jacksonville's alternative weekly paper as Folio 2.0.

Great news! Hope they pick up some story ideas and maybe writers from the Jaxson and its forum threads. Lot's of fertile ground here!
