I have no idea what this guy Khan is thinking but messing with over 400 parking spots is not the answer to the Jaguars problem. He should have enough money as it is from his other businesses. And there is also a large flock of geese in the pond that is on Lot J. He will reap what he sews if he messes with nature just for a little bit of money. When the Jaguars continue to lose eventually they will move to London.

As someone who is seriously concerned about climate change and the risk it presents to all of us, I can't say I'm worried about a single manmade pond next to a parking lot.
I think most of us here don't have a problem with the actual idea of Lot J by itself, we just don't like the idea of a quarter billion dollars in public money going towards it, and how that's money we could have spent on things that directly contribute to downtown's growth and improvement.

Not to sound like a smart alec, and I mean no disrespect, but they're already losing; where have you been?
I've often wondered, and still wonder, if he's tearing up the parking lot as he says (which he will), and is building all these things on Lot J, will he replace those parking spaces with huge parking garages and if not, where the hell will everyone park? I don't think I saw, unless I missed it, any parking garages in those renderings (I may have missed it). Someone please educate me.
https://news.wjct.org/post/450-million-lot-j-redevelopment-deal-includes-2333-million-city-incentives
The Lot J plan is broken down into five major components:
The Live! Entertainment district, which the city compared to "similar projects" in Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Arlington, Texas, all of which has been done by The Cordish Companies
A 300-unit luxury high-rise residential tower similar to ones developed in Kansas City and St. Louis
A boutique hotel with 200 units
A 120,000-square-foot office tower
A surface parking lot with 700 spaces. It would be built above the storm water retention pond to the west of Lot J. In addition, 600 parking spaces will be integrated into the hotel, residential tower, office tower or as street parking.
^^ So no separate garage is included but the city's investment is still the same nominal amount?
Ok. This made me laugh.
