The 3 Earth Fare stores in the Jacksonville area and all other Earth Fare locations are closing.

Just read that Rowe's is opening up some new stores in Jax.

What's the deal with a local independent grocer doing so well when we're seeing the Luckys, Earth Fares, and Native Suns going down?

I've never been in a Rowe's, but what's their niche?

Lower income, versus the more upscale nature of the above?

Rowes is more in line with a Harvey's or Winn-Dixie. Lucky's, Earth Fare and Native Sun are all more niche based.

IMO Rowe's stands apart from the rest of Jax's supermarkets. Rowe's has a wide variety of international foods.
