Title: ‘No way’ for November DCPS school sales tax referendum, election supervisor says
Post by: thelakelander on July 29, 2019, 08:49:58 PM
QuoteDuval County Supervisor of Elections Mike Hogan said Monday that time has run out on being able to have a special election Nov. 5 on a half-cent sales tax referendum for schools.

Jacksonville City Council has repeatedly deferred taking a vote on setting a referendum date, and the next City Council meeting won't be until Aug. 13.

"Aug. 13 would be outside of the window for a November election," Hogan said.

So two of our city's public entities are on fire, crime rages, and buildings are being knocked down on a weekly basis, but Curry is spending his days fan--girling at a Lil' Wayne concert?? Sounds like Jacksonville to me.
