Found some Jax history in an ad in the January 1, 1915, Wine and Spirit Bulletin, Volume 29, Page 79, for the Kearns-Gorsuch (any relation to the Supreme Court judge :)? ) Bottle Company of Zanesville, Ohio. It list 8 branch offices around the U.S. including "327 W. Forsyth St., Jacksonville, FL."
Here is an image of that address today: https://goo.gl/maps/C6frVKxUHL4DV1qy7 (https://goo.gl/maps/C6frVKxUHL4DV1qy7)
Note, the following link has multiple monthly issues in sequence and page numbers begin again for each month. Scroll to page 79 for the January 1 (and, usually the same page in subsequent months) issue to see the ad: https://books.google.com/books?id=NwZQAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false (https://books.google.com/books?id=NwZQAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false)
The rest of the ads in the bulletin are also somewhat interesting in showing the state of the art of the wine and spirit industry at the time :).
Cool, thanks
I like the advertising. Certain brands of liquor are said to be recommended by physicians.
