That will never happen.
Nope. It's a 109 year old building that would need tax credits and incentives to make it work onsite. It also doesn't make financial sense to move it considering for some reason, we can't live with the intersection as is. It's good as gone.

I lament a lot of the other more high-profile demolitions that have gone down DT, but a lil' ole fire house that is abandoned and doesn't match the growth of the neighborhood around it doesn't seem like anything I will miss.
This structure, as well as the old houses at Duval and Catherine, seem to be misguidedly idolized by some members of this forum simply because they're old. Collecting hidden treasures (Cowford Chophouse, 11E, The Carling, etc. ) vs hoarding old garbage (those old dilapidated houses, this old dilapidated and disused firehouse, the disused Jones College in MH) A cynical hot take? Yeah. But I reckon getting overly attached to old buildings just because they're old seems like an unnecessary pluck at my own heartstrings for no real reason.

The challenge that I have is what's replacing all of these demolished structures? Right now the answer every time is "grass field".
How many millions have we spent at this point to create grass?
