Nice. I love that it has a large retail component.
Here we go!! Rival projects from proven developers that seem feasible and both contribute to public space. Loser of the bidding process should be given other downtown land as a consolation prize. This is the type of thing we need in the core.

AMEN!
Seems like a much more appealing project than Vestcor's.
All good. Expect a private developer to propose a new, downtown (think Cathedral District) market rate loft project at the June 26 DDRB meeting. This developer already owns the land...... Will be modern architectural style , 40 -50 units....
So great to get competing offers.

That don't involve an Ark.
Would like to thank thelakelander for being an unofficial consultant on the Johnson Commons project!
Just helping out where I can. That's for reaching out.
Very good news :) Glad to see capable developers pressing ahead. The "consolation prize" idea is a winner.

Welp, change of plans. Everybody's gotta submit again.
Here's the new scoring criteria:
• 30 points: Consistency with the Downtown Northbank and LaVilla Redevelopment Strategy.
• 20 points: Previous development experience with bidded projects.
• 20 points: The company's financial resources.
• 15 points: The city's estimated return on investment.
• 15 points: Deference to Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing Park.
