There's a smaller but similar building in Green Cove Springs that used to belong to Coca-Cola as well. I believe it houses Clay Transit / Council on Aging now. would love to see both restored to their former glory.

Used to walk by the Coca Cola plant and watch the bottling line from the sidewalk. There was also a Dixie bottling company near the Gator Bowl. Springfield has some good smells back then. There was the Southern Baking Co. on Main St., Merita made bread nearby. The Southern Bakery was quite large. They made Southern bread which was popular locally. On the TV they had commercials that said, I'd even go North for Southern bread". Have fond memories of all of these and the old Lay's potato chip plant on Beaver St. A&P stores had a large bakery on Beaver St. near the farmer's market too.
^Sounds like good times! I imagined it smelled pretty good with three major bakeries within a three or four block walk of each other. A&P also had a Eight O' Clock coffee roasting plant on Beaver Street. Today, BSF uses the old plant space as a warehouse. Although the coffee roasting plant closed back in the 1980s, the building still has a coffee scent.

No, not this time. Just the building history and interior images of when it was in operation.
