While on the Chipotle website I noticed they have a location in 32202 listed as opening soon. Any idea on where this may be going in?

^Interesting find!
The address listed on the Chipotle site matches the new Brooklyn Place retail strip going in near Brooklyn Station.
If I had to guess, I'd say Brooklyn Place as well. I've always expected that they'd be one of the tenants there.
Yeah it's Brooklyn Place. Going to be interesting to see how it impacts the Burrito Gallery next door. I've heard they're also trying to put a Panera in there.
Is this project even still happening?
I'd assume so. There's been nothing to suggest that it has died.

Except that it is supposed to open in July 2019 and there is still a street going right through the property. In the original article from last year the developer said it was 90% leased. Seems like if it was 90% leased they might want to start building soon.
Probably still dealing with financing but it's a 12k square foot single level strip mall and surface parking lot. A Cheesecake Factory or Walgreens covers more square footage. It won't take a full year to construct.
Plans filed.
City Council needs to approve a half-acre land swap, and then everything should be set to go.

Environmental is still being worked on (which is a State issue), but the project is very close to going vertical. Expect some info about potential tenants very soon :)
Looks like construction is being prepped for this:

Bento too!

Looks good; I just get concerned when I hear "plans to buy the land". I think the various apartment developers planned to buy East San Marco too.
I realize this is a lot further along and if you have commitments from 3 retailers in a strip with 4 spots that's pretty good....just a little jaded.
BENTO!!! I was already excited about Chipotle, but this takes it to a whole new level. My boycott of Burrito Gallery has been difficult, but this will provide some much needed relief. Glad the Bento Boys have found a riverside location that works for them.

Just curious, why have you been boycotting Burrito Gallery?
Other than that, exciting new additions to the area. That Chipotle will certainly be a force to be reckoned with on lunch breaks
Their tacos can only be eaten with a pair of tweezers and needle nosed pliers due to their microscopic size, the margaritas are now $8 and climbing, the good items that were added to the menu after the Valentino takeover have been removed....etc. It's just not good anymore. For what they charge, it's not worth it.
Oh good I am happy for the Bento folks. They were really close to doing a Riverside location several years ago but when they discovered how expensive and difficult the reno process was for older buildings and in a historic district, they walked. I heard they had been eyeing Brooklyn ever since.
Also a few years back Chipotle was looking at unrolling a bunch of smaller "urban-style" locations. I wonder if that ever happened and if this would be one of those (guessing not since I haven't heard much since then)
Anyone know if Panera is still planning to move into Brooklyn Place?
Love me that Fuji Apple Salad.
