nice to see we agree on something Uptowngirl...UGA rocks!
First Lunican and I agree, then you and I now who says we all don;t have some common ground :-)
Here is number two... :D

yeah, kramer, i guess bulldogs fans need something to celebrate. And I'll admit, I've always thought uga was cute.
GO GATORS!!
I like UGA quite a bit. However, I must take issue with the concept that it is a good thing for your mascot to be described as "cuddly and adorable". Particularly in football. Its just not a cuddly and adorable game. I think UGA can look mean and is awesome, but those descriptions are awful. IMO you want a mascot that makes you think "Holy S*%T!! That thing is about to peck my face off and feed it to it's chicks!" or "he might impale me with that spear if I don't watch out".

LOL!!! Now THAT is a mascot!
Yes. That clip is what I always think about when I think of UGA. Well, that and him laying on a giant block of ice.
That has to be one of the greatest mascot clips of all time and I'm not even a UGA fan, do they bronze his poo?
YUCK!!!!! I think I am going to throw up now! Congrats!

Ill hold your hair.
Western Kentucky anyone?
Nobody has a more real and true mascot than Florida State. A true blue Seminole Indian on a stately horse wielding a REAL spear. There is nothing furry and fuzzy about that. Cheif Osceola is the man! :)

WOW! Calling an Native American a mascot just doesnt seem right.
GO GATORS
Not to be too much of a ____, but what makes UGA that much more unique than the other 38 (yes, there are a total of 39 four-year college mascots that are Bulldogs - most all with "real" bulldogs on the sidelines and a storied lineage to go with them. The poll was obviously hijacked by rabid (pun intended) Dawgs........
Eagles are the most commonly used four-year college mascot @ 74. I guess we just need to put a live alligator on a leash & put cute sweaters on it, too.
BTW - I'll take Keggy the Keg from Dartmouth ANY day!

Um, pull the wig off of the noble & proud Chief & you'll get a blue-eyed, blonde haired frat boy.......
Just check out these authentic Native American names - I wonder what their meanings are ;)
Chief Osceola through the years
* Jim Kidder
* David Mays
* David Williams
* Jeff Ereckson
* Greg Ereckson
* Jim Fairfield
* Tom Sawyer
* Allen Durham
* Andy Taylor
* Jason Mork
* Daniel Kennerly
* Lincoln Golike
* Josh Halley
GO GATORS!
well if its so simple, let's put you up on Renegade this Saturday against Va Tech
and not to be particular...but the rider is only Osceola now (not Chief)...apparently the warrior was never a Seminole chief so the tribe asked FSU to make the change.

And all the people you mentioned are at least twice as cool as Mr. two bits.
Probably - but he's not our mascot. He did go to The Citadel though so he doesn't need to throw on a wig & warpaint to be a badass & only missed 1 game in the last several decades (when his wife died). If you'd like to parade him around the 50 yardline on your horse with a flaming spear you should hit him up on his Myspace.

so wait...wearing blue golf pants that are ready for the next flood makes him a badass?
To reiterate - he's not Florida's mascot, which discredits your jab. He's simply a recognizable fan that's almost 90. I can pluck out ridiculous FSU fans all day - hahahaha

Those glitter boys were really creepy. It seems like that junk would get in your eyes too. :D
You can pluck out ridiculous FSU fans? UF's fans are under the impression that jean shorts are a staple of everyday attire. Well, two can play this game. Check the link.

Also, I'm glad to say that FSU players don't steal from the dead.
Heh, this thread is going south really quick! Let's keep it friendly guys/gals. ;)
Ahh they are just jealous that the BD win's hands down!!! ;) ;)
No mascot is a match for the Fighting Okra.

Alright traveller, you got us! That guy looks scary. :)
OK - Truce.
Although not collegiate, it cannot be overlooked - One thing that I think we can ALL agree on is that JAXSON DEVILLE is hands down the best thing going in the
NFL - No other team's mascot even comes close to pulling off the daredevil stunts & theatrics as this "cat".

From CBS SportslineQuoteIf there is a large, overstuffed NFL mascot that plays the villain role as well as the Raider Nation does, it's Jaxson De Ville.
This is the mascot whose foul behavior actually caused the NFL to make rules changes to restrict just how ornery a mascot is allowed to get with an opposing team.
This is no cartoon character. This is no comedy act. Lord help you if you ever mistake this Jaguar for Chester the Cheetah or Tony the Tiger, because you'll need catlike speed and reflexes to escape your doom.

You got that right blizz!! Jaxson Deville is absolutely nuts! Anyone know who the guy is uner the suit? I can't believe the stunts this guy pulls off. Where do I sign up!?
I have met him through friends on a couple of occasions although I would presume that he prefers to remain anonymous. I can say that he was also a college mascot for a team formerly in the Big East (now ACC) & is happily married to a former member of the Roar. He is just as nuts in person - no fear & hilarious.
I don't think he prefers to be that anonymous. He regularly (or at least, used to) appear on one of the local Top 40 station's morning show every Friday. I want to say it was the Big Ape but it escapes me at the moment. They'd introduce him by his real name and not as 'Jaxson." Kinda killed it for me - I'd have preferred the anonymity of it.
Dan Hicken & Jeff Prosser only refer to him as "Cat" whenever he comes on their morning show(s).
