Title: Baptist Hospital Garage Comes Down
Post by: Charles Hunter on July 08, 2018, 07:00:23 PM
Checking out the Jaxson site, and the first article is about the demolition of the Baptist Hospital Parking Garage on Palm Avenue.  I haven't been in the area in awhile, is the 2200 space garage between Palm Avenue and the FECRR open?  Where do patients of the hospital and Pavilion park, if the new garage isn't open yet?

The new garage has been open for a few months.  I'm wondering how long it's going to be before they add a covered pedestrian bridge over it.

There was/is a master plan for Baptist DT somewhere. The garage will be converted into a green space iirc.

It's going to be a new entrance "tower" with a greenspace. And yes, there will be a pedestrian bridge connecting it to the new parking garage. Don't get your hopes up on the word "tower" though. 7 stories tops.
