Advice to pass along to the organizer.
The GoFundMe page does a decent job explaining what the money will go toward (a venue, security, insurance, logistics, etc.), but it doesn't do a great job explaining the need.
For example, if it's a march, why is it necessary to rent a venue?
Or security?
Or parking?
$20k is a big ask, people have burned so much by crowdfunding that you really need to get specific about where the money is going, or else you'll scare people away from giving.
