Title: Good areas in Jax?
Post by: Kristonomix on February 18, 2018, 11:23:08 AM
Looking for a nice quiet area not too far from Downtown.

Any good areas and areas to avoid?

Thanks!

Depending on price range and what exactly you're looking for, check out Riverside, Avondale, San Marco, Brooklyn, and Springfield. A bit farther out, but less expensive, try Murray Hill, St. Nicholas. Lake Shore and Fairfax.

Might add the Miramar and Lakewood neighborhoods south of San Marco proper (some Realtors have already expanded "San Marco" beyond its formal boundaries to include them) on Hendricks Avenue/San Jose Blvd.  These areas will be a bit less expensive than San Marco proper or Riverside/Avondale and still within about 5 or 6 miles of Downtown.
