Hotel Indigo proposed at Bay and Laura:

Big News!
Quite a few projects on the DDRB agenda next week. Hotel Indigo, which includes a restaurant at Bay & Laura, the Trio Garage and retail space at Forsyth & Laura, a Dogtopia in the Southbank and another retail strip in Brooklyn next to Burrito Gallery are all up for conceptual review.
I wonder if Peterbrooke or any of the other ground floor tenants in the Life building will have to relocate, and if so, whether they will maintain a downtown presence.
Is there a list of the agenda online yet?
I have all the renderings for all these projects. Just been in meetings in Tallahassee all day.

The first floor plan shows the hotel lobby entrance facing Bay Street near the Suntrust garage next door. A restaurant and bar take up the main corner and existing Peterbrooke space. A second retail space facing Laura is proposed at the SE corner of the building.

Thank you Lake
Renderings up now.
Business is really picking up along that corridor.
The combination of Hotel Indigo, the Barnett, the Laura Street Trio, the FSCJ project, and even the garage with retail is going to inject so much additional life into the CBD.
Love all of these projects.
Down south in Fort Myers, where I grew up, they've totally transformed their downtown in the last decade.
Indigo was a big addition, and a really cool project. Historic rehab. Rooftop bar. Ground floor dining.

The rooftop bar is my favorite spot back home.
Here's the view, sorry for the filter, it was a Snap:

Rooftop is similar to the Bohemian in DT Savannah: Predominately outdoor seating, small inside bar, fire pit and game area. As with the Bohemian should attract other DT hotel guest for a drink or late night snack. Hope they do some good architectural type lighting on the outside façade of the hotel as was done at Hotel Indigo in Savannah.
What an awesome project. This is VERY exciting!
This would be a really cool addition to downtown. I hope the project can move forward quickly.
What are the chances some alternative can take the place of that massively hideous parking garage at Main and Bay Streets?
My god, so much buzz going on DT now. Hopefully it will all come together and resemble what's going on in downtown Newark now. I'm curious what is the current occupancy rate of this building?
Per the Daily Record, Peterbrooke is staying:
QuoteRobbins told board members the group plans to reconfigure the ground floor, creating one entrance for both the hotel and the new retail space.
She said Peterbrooke Chocolatier, which occupies space on the first floor, will be relocated to the new area when the build-out is complete.

Thats a killer thing to have in a hotel lobby! If Indigo is smart, they´ll have Peterbrook in the in-room mini bar...or offer some choc covered popcorn as a welcome amenity :)
This article makes it sound as if they're going to do this without incentives. Is this assumption correct?
