Lake - it was a good win and congrats to UM for breaking the streak - that said, your head coach has far more class than his team deserves. Coach Richt didn't have the team run out onto the field until after Osceola planted the spear. He also strongly scolded several players for celebrating on the Seminole logo after the game.

Lol, no shame here. Got to be able to complete a pass to win the big games. The U had successfully overcome the QB deficiency and injuries to its bet offensive players the entire season until the last two weeks. The D played alright but was on the short side of the field all night long. Dominated but not out. With that said, the bowl game will be a home game and we're going to rake in recruits to build depth and fill our offensive holes with both FSU and UF in the dumps. Assuming Clemson can make it back to the ACC Championship game next year, there will be a rematch!

I think it's a bit hyperbolic and probably wishful thinking at that.....What were Jimbo's last five classes ranked? Top 3 Avg? How much better is Taggart really gonna be?

I guess I wasn't clear...I wasn't insinuating they won as HC, just they both played part in winning NCs and have experience with being part of a championship program.
Will Muschamp arguably would have been in the NC game at 11-1 in his second year, so anything' possible with Kirby. And didn't Richt win two SEC titles? So I'd slow down on the better than Richt did until he actually performs better than Richt with his own players.

Come on now...Jimbo was at FSU since 2007 and was doing the HCIW thing. They won the NC after 5 years in Jimbo's offensive system.

The streak is over. Unfortunately da U has started another one, going out with a whimper and a 3 game losing streak. It has taken 2 years and now Miami fans know why Mark Richt was let go by UGA, who appears to be on the cusp of dethroning Alabama in the SEC. Richt is good, nothing more. Enjoy this season past Lake, as da U will return to mediocrity next year. Nothing more enjoyable than watching those ridiculous chain wearing Miami fans lose a home game (that also happens to be a major bowl game) to basically a bunch of big slow white guys from up North.

LOL, I'm pretty good seeing UM's list of signed recruits this month. No one is panicking in South Florida. We're actually thrilled to be getting grown men committing to the U again. Much better situation in Coral Gables right now as opposed to pinning your hopes on an unproven coach and entertaining the silly notion of Prime Time being an assistant coach!
As for the game last night, meh. Not only was it Rosier's last start at QB but then remove his top RB, WR and TE from the line-up and shank two FG attempts by a normally solid kicker. Yeah, wasn't really expecting Rosier to turn into Dan Marino when he's been a pumpkin for most of the season. Knowing that critical depth is finally on the way (we finally got our full scholarships back after the Shapiro stuff!) and that at least two QBs should beat out Rosier next year along with 5-star RBs, WRs and TEs coming in, it's not the most depressing thing to lose by 10 to the number 6 team in the nation (who I could have sworn that fast RB of their's is just as black as I am ;-)).
At the end of the day, it could be a lot worse. Just imagine being a team that reschedules a game against a doormat like Delaware State just to get to Shreveport. Then pinning your hopes on an unproven coach being the guy to get past Clemson!

In the 90s, the Canes were a big bandwagon team in Jax; I remember going to Raines ('92 to '96 era) and seeing many students wearing Hurricanes, Tar Heels and Hoyas gear. Yes it clearly was a legal play but FSU still has to close that game out. I wish Taggart knew how to call a traditional screen pass. Miami pinned their ears back with the second half pass rush and Taggart had no idea how to exploit that.
What happened to FSU's defense? How difficult is it to hold a 20 point second half lead against an offense led by a redshirt freshman making his second start? I saw the highlights. It looked like Miami could have easily scored again but ran out the clock.
