FWIW, Laura Street is one of the most urban, mixed-use, vibrant places we have in Jacksonville. That's why it won the award 2 years ago. If you compare the street today with where it was just 5 years ago, definite progress has been made. And imagine where it could be 5 years from now!

Objectively the street has improved greatly in the last several years. I will say the uneven bricks do make it unfriendly to bikes. Just something to fix next time.

"Great Street."?   Not yet. But it will be fab once the Laura St Trio and Barney Bank have been re-done.  Couple of years off.

Is there any residential there now, to speak of?
