I never understood what their competitive advantage was supposed to be.
I really never found their prices to be all that competitive.
I purchased kitchen appliances for an investment property from them when they first came to town. I got a decent deal, catching them during their grand opening. Since then, I've never had a reason to go back. With that said, there's a ton of retailers closing and we're still putting up a lot of new retail space. Makes you wonder what our strip malls will be looking like in a couple of years.
So that same strip in Regency is now missing... World Market, Linens N Things, now HH Gregg, what else was over there? I know there's another vacant storefront. And these are pretty big storefronts.
Bealls is still there I think.
Bealls is still there and the old World Market just re-opened as a furniture store. With the hundreds of homes being built in the area, more stores will have to open to support the new demographics in the area.
For some reason I have never entered an H.H. Gregg store. Guess I'm not alone.
