Jimmy Hula's, a Florida based restaurant has taken over the long abandoned Wendy's building on Beach (next to Publix) and is currently remodeling it to their native surfer/beach theme.
No word on the open date, but its good to see Hula's growing and to see someone take over that empty Wendy's.
The best time to enjoy them is when they open the doors and bring in live music. Goes well with a drink and some Malibu Tacos.
If I am not mistaken, this will be the third Hula's to open in greater Jacksonville. The others are at Atlantic and Hodges and on Normandy.
