My Gators are ranked #11 and we haven't signed any 5 stars this year. This class is okay, but I am a bit disappointed, but I am excited that we have so many top recruits from the state of Florida. The Randy Shannon connection is working well for us.
#GoGators
Not that it means anything at this point, but nice to see the U back in competition with the elite programs for elite talent.

Clemson plays in title game 2 years straight and the best they can get is 17th?
Georgia, which hasnt done squat in years gets #2.
Would be interesting statistic to know how many of these recruits transfer out of their first school.

Clemson didn't have many scholarships to give. Loaded up past 2 classes. Only had 14 spots I believe. That being said they still got 9 blue chip recruits (3 5* and 6 4*). They're fine. Next year they already have a fantastic head start to one of the best classes in the country.
Georgia is benefiting from a new coach and early playing time. New coaches are great change agents. Able to "sell" a new path to recruits and early playing time. Maintaining success is much harder than capitalizing on new culture.
Bama is a machine. They've been unstoppable for years now. If they want a kid they get him (for the most part). They convinced Jarez Parks to Grayshirt. A 4* that had offers from a ton of big schools like FSU. He will not play football or practice this fall. He is a regular student who must pay his own tuition for a semester and then enroll in January 2018. Its insane that they can get him to do that.

That's simple: Clemson really isn't that good. They play in an extremely weak ACC and had a once-in-a generation transcendent talent at QB and some really great receivers, hence their success. Dabo will go back to his mediocre self pretty quickly. Meanwhile, Georgia is coached by someone who at least hasn't yet proven that he will blow 1-2 games a year to inferior talent (i.e. Dabo) and Georgia is a (sort of) marquee program in a better conference, and Kirby Smart had tons of success at Alabama, so recruits want to play for him.
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Watson is a great QB. But they signed the #1 QB this year with Hunter Johnson and they already have a commitment from Trevor Lawrence for 2018. As a recruit, Lawrence is arguably the best QB recruit of the past decade. Clemson will be around for a several years with this staff. That being said, a small drop off is expected for 2017 season due to losing so many players.
MMR. You're at the top of the list for "I don't know shit about football but I will blog anyway" Award.
Clemson, 'extremely' weak, beat the mighty Crimson Tide, who for some reason gets the #1 recruiting class every year but lets "weak" teams beat them for the MNC.
The 'extremely weak' ACC was identified by real football experts as the overall strongest football conference this year. And has had 2 of the last 4 National Champions as well.
Georgia, under Head Coach Kirby "maybe not so" Smart, lost AT HOME to their mathematically gifted rivals from Atlanta, Georgia Tech this year. AT HOME. That shows how actually weak the SEC east is. Their Champion got the crap beat out of them by "little sister " FSU. Which by they way has massively out-recruited every other school in the state for they last 5 years. Sort of explains the recent dominance over arch rivals UF and U of Miami.
In fact according to Rivals.com, for the FIRST TIME IN RIVALS HISTORY, ONE TEAM, FSU, SECURED THE COMMITMENT FROM 3 OF THEIR TOP 5 PROSPECTS: MARVIN WILSON, CAM AKERS, AND JOSHUA KAINDOH. Pretty weak, huh? 'Bama may have the numbers but I'll take three of the top 5 any day.

Clemson actually fell out of the top 25 on this list.
Clemson opens the season against SEC team Auburn. This past year they beat Auburn AT Auburn. This year they host Auburn in Clemson.
If you're thinking Auburn will win I'm pretty sure you can place a wager on that one.
I'm thinking Clemson (without Deshaun Watson) will once again beat Auburn. And they had very few scholarships available this year, so they had a small class of recruits.
The rankings are determined by the total number of 'points' the recruits have, and Alabama signed 25 or so.
AS I said previously, NO TEAM IN 'RIVALS.COM' HISTORY HAS EVER SIGNED 3 OF THE TOP 5 RATED RECRUITS, NOT EVEN ALABAMA.
UNTIL THIS YEAR. FSU DID.
