Title: Quiz/Question: City & Sea...
Post by: Brent on January 13, 2017, 02:09:49 PM
Something I thought was cool, that I always wanted to share. Ok folks, where is the only place in ALL of Jacksonville can you stand on the ground, and see both our city's skyline & the Atlantic Ocean in the same spot???

Hmm....maybe some spot off A1A close to Amelia Island like Little Talbot Island?

There, you'd be on the coast and could possibly see the DT skyline waayyyy in the distant background.

I'm assuming standing on a bridge doesn't count, because the bridge over the Intracoastal on Beach would work.

I cannot imagine that's possible without elevation.

I've been to Little Talbot Island a lot and downtown is not in view on the beach.  Huguenot Park a little further south might work. or maybe the eastern end of the runway at Mayport NS.  Maybe from the top of the landfill on Girvin Road?
