Title: Il Desco?
Post by: Sentient on January 03, 2017, 03:59:29 PM
What's up with Il Desco, seems like it has been closed for a while.  Just the holidays?

They just posted on Facebook today about dinner specials, so I assume they are open.

They open at 4pm every evening as far as I know.

I miss when it was Pele's. I have eaten there once since the switch and haven't gone back as my Pasta Primavera was so saturated with garlic that I could have easily fended off thirsty vampires for a year. Maybe more.

They apparently overhauled the menu recently. Took many of the items I like off it or changed the recipe significantly. Waitress said they were cutting costs.

Bistro Aixe used to be one of my favorites. I went late (10:30) on a recent Saturday night, they posted as OPEN TIL 11 PM.
No one at the front door, so seated myself at the bar. Hoping for a drink and some of the famous chips I waited with my wife for about 10 minutes. Was never greeted or given water. Walked out and went down to Taverna, where I was greeted and treated very well. Called the number for BA and got voice mail, left a message describing my experience. No one ever called back. Not sure I'll go again. To many well run restaurant choices out there to waste any more time or money at BA.

YES agree, miss Pele's Woodfire.
