Is there not a Boys and Girls Club or some similar non-profit in Jacksonville that could use the gym and offices for their organization?

Seems a real waste.

Fantastic building that must be preserved. I recall playing in a ping-pong tournament there as a kid (eliminated in the first round...)

Wow, we used this building as one of the logistics centers for Jacksonville's Super Bowl.  It's an imposing structure, seems like it could be used for more.

Based on the pictures the building looks like it's move in ready, or needs very little renovation. It stuns me that this amazing building is vacant.

It would be interesting to see what is behind all of the dropped ceilings.  Nice to see some of the original lighting and other features still there.  I really hope a good use can be found, so it does not waste away.  I bet this was really beautiful when new, and not modernized in various places.

I am assuming it is owned by COJ, which is a bad sign. Has there ever been a RFP on this one?
