Is the overland project really expected to be complete this year? I haven't been to Jax in a while, but last time i was there it seemed far from complete... What about the JTB/95 interchange? How's that coming along?
I was just home in September and October no where near complete but making good progress.
Their website, www.i95overlandbridge.com (http://www.i95overlandbridge.com), says estimated completion Summer 2017. The FDOT website still says Late 2016 though.
Late 2016 is not happening.
Overland bridge is 6 months behind schedule... shocking I know.
I drove by the Vestcor project in Lavilla yesterday. Not sure what evactly they are doing but there seems like a lot of sitework going on for something that used to have a building on it. They have a big rock crusher looking thing out there, maybe they are digging up old foundations.
There is a huge boom crane setup downtown between the TU and Omni. Does anyone know what's up with that?
They're ripping out all the old Railroad Row building foundations. The buildings were demolished decades ago but not the foundations.

Kind of what I figured.
FWIW, the crane was plucking the cooling towers off the top of what used to be the Wachovia building, not sure what it's called now.
