Downtown for the parade today. Good crowds.
Heads up, the Skyway is running abbreviated services on the Southbank due to maintenance at Kings Station.
They are running a 2 car shuttle between Kings Ave and Riverplace and then you have to hop over to the otherside to get the rest of the way to Central.
Parade visitors are getting fooled and making the return trip to Kings due to lack of signage on the platforms.
Same issue returning, the cars are coming back to Central at Riverplace, you need to hop over to reach Kings.
Great day for a parade! Lots of people and they had a Iwa Jima veteran (Marine) in full dress uniform! Amazing, the guy must be in his 90's. Korean, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, all well represented. Even the Womens Veterans had their own spot, lots of nurses from Nam and Desert Storm.
I never knew just how large the ROTC/JROTC was in Jacksonville.
Over all a very fun time in downtown Jax.
Now off to the Bearded Pig for some good BBQ in the beer garden.
