Finding a map that shows the actual zoning of the Riverside Avondale are in any detail has been pretty difficult.  Even for the city to produce....This one took a week of looking to get an accurate map.  Click on the link for a first view of how the two different maps overlap onto each other.

Worrisome how 'secret' this map appears to be!  This is the first time I've seen it with the added zoning info and it really shows how thin the "character area" designations are and how they don't capture the complete picture.  Are there really only 5 types of "place" in this vibrant and multifaceted area?

At any rate, it's just a map.  It can never capture the intricate complexity of a whole neighborhood.  That is where Love went wrong... thinking that blanket statements are the way to cure perceived overdevelopment.  Is it that complicated for new business applications to be considered thoroughly each time, using brain-power and consideration of the actual case rather than bureaucratic automation!
