Following our coverage last week of the toxic new regulations and zoning changes introduced by Jim Love's new Riverside Avondale Zoning Overlay Bill, the council member has decided to withdraw the bill and introduce a substitute bill instead.

The fact that he put that up at all and almost got away with it is mind blowing. This is that "Jacksonville mindset" that everyone keeps talking about.

Thank you Stephen.  A clear call to arms.  How true... the confounding practice of talking walkability/small intimate neighborhoods while pushing 50s era auto-centric planning concepts!  Perhaps RAP itself needs another look!?  Love is certainly going to get one if term limits don't get him first.
