Oh my. The "undercover" cops on Murray Hill. Oh my. I have been followed so many time by these "Undercover Cops" whilst riding down Murray Hill. I always wonder why they aren't pursuing real crimes.

That is because they are profiling you. Remember Tim McVeigh (FBI bombing) was pulled over for having a broken tail light, you never know what you will find when you are pulled over.

Nice display of pictures, but come on, McDuff was as far as they go in terms of the "other half" of Murray Hill? Not many pictures from Dellwood, Myra, Ernest, Roselle or Phyllis. I guess they don't count.

What streets were most of these pictrues from??  I have definitely not seen this party of Murray Hill.  At fist I thought these pictures were from Edgewood & Fitch street on the other side of Roosevelt.

I didn't take the pics but it looks like alot of the commercial corridor shots are along Edgewood and Post Streets.  The park looks like Powers Park along Green Street and McDuff.  The rest of the neighborhood shots don't ring any bells.

Great tour and pics, I think it is probably 4 corners park that is pictured, on the corners of the intersection of Lawnview St. and Lamboll St.

As a life long resident of Murray Hill, there were shots of the Four Corners park and some of the surrounding homes there as well as some houses on streets in each direction from this area; Ramona, Polaris, Kearle, ect. as well as the cooridor of Edgewood and Post.

There is talk of possibly doing a Murray Hill tour this fall - if it can be arranged. If any one is interested, please attend any of Murray Hill Preservation Associations (MHPA) meetings the fourth Thursday at of the month at 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall of the Murray Hill Presbyterian Church on Post St. and Talbot near Post and Edgewood.

The up coming MHPA meeting is going to be an auction at the Banquet Hall of the Edgewood Bakery at 7 p.m. All welcome!!

this is Ruth Upson Elementary on Dancy St. one of only 8 schools in the district to increase 2 letter grades on the FCAT, from a C to an A!

Zee is right, go to 4 corners park and work your way out, you'll find most of these

Nice pics of my old neighborhood. I actually went to school at Ruth N Upson and lived on Polaris St, where the house next to where I lived made the pictures list. (corner of Murray Drive and Polaris St.)

Thanks for the correction Zee.  I used to live in the "hill" but that was about 8 years ago.

Also, welcome to MetroJacksonville!!

The photo with the police car parked out front is on Attleboro.  If you like brick bungalows, you'll love neighboring Astral St. (just below Post, south of Edgewood).

Nice pics.  I lived in Murry Hill just off Edgewood Ave. during the 50's, worked at "The Edgewood Theater", took tap at Henson School of Dance, went to Ruth N. Upson, went to Murry Hill Presbyterian Church and spent many Saturdays at the Murry Hill Theater.  Lots of nice memories.  Hope this area continues to be developed and be safe...........

I still remember when there was a Edgewood Movie Theatre on the corner of Roosevelt and Edgewood many a year ago.  I took dancing upstairs at the Hinson Dance Studio above Wood's Pharmacy.  The Edgewood Bakery has gotten a brand new building, but is still there and as good as ever.  Penny
