Title: Renters insurance?
Post by: ben says on October 09, 2016, 03:36:46 PM
So, Friday morning (3 a.m.), my neighbors got robbed during the hurricane.

Between the damage and the robbery, it got me thinking: I need renters insurance.

Anyone have a policy/use a company they'd recommend?

Thx!

Any company that does homeowners usually does them too. I've had renters through AMICA and State Farm before I think. We have homeowners and car insurance through AMICA now. Their prices have been hard to beat, and my service with auto claims has been good. They are a little old fashioned in terms of their web presence though.

See if your car insurer offers it, if not I'd quote w/AMICA and also Matt Carlucci's office. He can shop a few companies for you.

Good call -- it's cheap and worth it.

I had Assurant a few years ago when I had an apartment in Jax Beach. I never had to file a claim but it was super cheap from what I remember.
