Ok, so this may be trivial but I'm finding it impossible to locate a gardener to do weeding on my residential property. The companies I've spoken with start out by saying it's unprofitable, but when I tell them what I'm willing to pay, they admit that no one wants to hand pull weeds, do trimming and yardwork, even at a reasonable price. They just want to operate machinery and spray poisons. I've had several gardeners that were good while they lasted, but went on to other pursuits. My regular mow, edge and blow guy, who I've had for 17 years, does not do weeds other than spray round-up which I don't allow in my yard.
The garden design and landscaping companies are delighted to sell and install a variety of trees and plants for thousands of dollars, but won't agree to maintaining them. I need someone one day a week for 4-6 hours and I pay WELL. One would think that a student may be looking for a part time job, but I don't know how to find them...
Any referrals would be appreciated.
