The 80's are back as the hair metal band Stryper will be doing a concert at Murray Hill Theatre on October 1st to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of their seminal album "To Hell with the Devil".

They sucked in the 80s and I'd be shocked if they have improved any since then!

To Hell with the Devil* is a STONE COLD DESERT ISLAND CLASSIC AND NO ONE DENIES THIS.
* The song, not the album-- the rest of their oeuvre is trash.
I always was more of a Shout at the Devil man, myself.
I have this spray-painted on the side of my prayer van:

Don't mind the haters, Stryper. Keep on spreading that good word!
If I actually have heard a Stryper song other than "To Hell with the Devil" then I don't remember it, but, revisiting the song just now, I do have a fondness for hair metal with that darker guitar tone. Think early L.A. Guns.
