Title: New Safe Harbor Seafood on Beach
Post by: spuwho on September 23, 2016, 08:35:20 PM
There is a new Safe Harbor Seafood Restaurant on the intercoastal just beyond the Beach Blvd. Bridge.

To get in you have to turn left across from Adventure Landing, drive back behind Rick's Bait Shop, cross a wooden bridge and right there next to a large public boat slip is the new place.

It shares a lot of parking with the trucks and their boat trailers, but they do provide valet service.

The food is very, very good and unfortunately on Friday's the line is usually down the walkway, their seating system actually keeps the ordering line moving, so you really dont wait that long.

They have their own boat dock for those who want take their boats to dinner and tie up.

Sit inside or outside with views of the marina.

I am going to guess the kayaker I have seen every Friday night is Noone coming in.

For those driving by on the Beach Blvd. Bridge, you cant see it from the road.  Its kind of hidden down there, but the seafood is awesome.

Give it a try!

Love me some Safe Harbor. New location is fantastic, though parking can get a bit hairy at lunch. Those blackened Mayport shrimp ❤️

My kids love the bossa.  My spouse loves the scallops.  I am partial to those spinach and feta cheese cakes. Never had anything like it before.

I went there this past weekend as well.  Place is super nice and food was good. I was a little disappointed with the clam strips - they are soooo freakin good at Mayport location but they were different at the new place.  Hopefully they'll work out the tweaks and get all the recipes consistent with Mayport.

So this is down that side road to the boat ramp that floods, directly across from beach marine? I am going to try this out.
