Mike, great piece and I mostly agree but this statement seems untoward.
"Honestly, Trump has done more to seek the support of African-American voters, but his methods are insincere." I wonder how he defines "seek the support..."

In what sense, because he went to one black church? I'm pretty sure Hillary has been to at least two in her lifetime.
Worth mentioning, Trump and dad were sued by the Justice department in a landmark case for housing discrimination in the 70s.

I found that quote curious as well, I think Mr. Quaranta was speaking rhetorically and suggesting Hilliary hasn't done enough.

Compared to Hilary, whose first political professional move was to go undercover to expose racial segregation in schools in the 1960s, it would kind of have to be a big thing.

Maybe that's the point. These were comments from a focus group.
Most people will not know that Hillary went undercover.
The only reason I know is because of a passing story I heard on the radio.
If voters aren't aware of Clinton's work...then what has she done?
At least I know Trump went to a black church (and was told to keep it apolitical). We see Clinton going to high-dollar fundraisers, which is the point of Mike's piece. She's not demonstrating in the now and so her history is maybe meaningless.
