Any source on this?

And if it's true, it's too bad they can afford new toys and tanks, but body cameras "don't have funding."

No sources. Just the "could", meaning three wheelers are offered in police formats now and its available to JSO if they so chose.  Also means they could cut patrol costs without a large amount of motorcycle training. Since those patrol segways are for the Paul Blarts of the world, these could still provide a level of economy without the risks 2 wheeled cops have.

These would be better I guess at a crowd control or parade routes during city events but can still reach 100mph for pursuits.
