Ameris Bank Announces New Location in Urban Core

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (July, 2016) – Ameris Bank, the largest community bank by deposit market share in Jacksonville, announced its newest location at 121 Atlantic Place.  This fall, Ameris Bank will occupy the first floor of this historic downtown banking building located at 121 West Forsyth Street.

Awesome news! I was a little disappointed when they gave up their old spot that CenterState Bank is taking over, I thought it meant they were leaving downtown. Glad to hear they are keeping a branch down there.

That's a really cool building. For those that have never been inside; there's an underground tunnel that leads from there 1 block southwest to Hogan St.

I mourn the loss of Benny's, the breakfast and lunch spot/gift and card shop that was in the tunnel for 30 years.
