http://solarjacksonville.org (http://solarjacksonville.org), a company specializing in Solar Water Heater installation.

For all you with homes that are interested in cutting your utility bills by 80%... Might be time to check into a solar water heater

What's "solar water" and why would you heat it? Wouldn't it already be warm?

80%? I don't think so. Perhaps you mean cutting water heating energy use by 80%, i.e. ~15% * 80% = ~12% savings?

That said, for many folks solar water heaters can be a great investment. See this calculator for projected savings from solar hot water: http://www.fsec.ucf.edu/En/consumer/solar_hot_water/homes/calculator/index.htm (http://www.fsec.ucf.edu/En/consumer/solar_hot_water/homes/calculator/index.htm)
