Casbah Cafe has a full bar now? They must've added seating on the roof.  ::)

Anybody understand the angle of this article? Op-Ed, I guess?

How did a list of "Best drinks" get created without the Volstead!? These people know how to make drinks!

False.  Dos Gatos, Parlour, & Volstead are all more "sophisticated" than sidecar.  That's not the only problem with this article, but I've never gotten the hype over sidecar.

The picture on the front page is from the pub crawl long ago.  I have no idea what's happening in the picture, but it looks like something awesome was going on. Good Times.

This is the damn MJ mods messing with thread titles again. The original title was "The 5 bars I went to this weekend"

In that context, fine good thread.

Side note, should anyone ever see me ordering a drink called a Butterfly Kiss or anything similar, immediately punch me in the ear. As hard as you can.

If you do, you would richly deserve being boxed in the ear.

Can we form 2 punch lines for each ear, you kewl swanky-sippin' hipster?  8)

+1
I mean Sidecar is OKAY I suppose, but those blow it out of the water! Volstead and Dos Gatos are some of the better bars in NE Florida for cocktails.

Best cocktails goes to Dos. Volstead IMHO is too inconsistent, I've had a good drink only to order it the next time and taste is off. Sidecar has been pretty good every time I've been.

To me, I guess it boils down to consistency, Dos will always make the best drinks time and time again. A lot of the other bars are a bit hit or miss depending on who is bartending. Also, Orsay for happy hour is severely underrated in terms of cocktails available and the quality.

Orsay happy hour is great for the drinks and the food...
