New Jacksonville Farmer's Market Opens

The historic Jacksonville Farmer's Market on Beaver Street recently celebrated the opening of its new sheds.  The new location is immediately to the west of the old site, which is now in the process of being demolished in preparation for the expansion of a nearby seafood processing plant.

Its no secret that the farmer's market is owned by Beaver Street Fisheries, one of the largest seafood processing plants in Jacksonville.  With Beaver Street expanding next door to the new farmer's market, what will it take to get them to incorporate a seafood market at that location, as well?

There needs to be a seafood market at the landing. This is the best venue for such a athing. Think Seattle, etc. It could be a huge attraction to the downtown area.
