Title: Child and Car Stolen on San Marco Blvd in front of European Street.
Post by: stephendare on July 05, 2008, 04:33:19 PM
Report just coming in that a man left his child in his car with the engine on while he ran inside to retreive a forgotten cell phone.
According to two eyewitnesses, Rayna and Richard of Jacksonville, three teenagers on bikes driving by noticed the car running with keys in the ignition.  One of them threw down his bike, jumped into the car and drove off with both car and child.

Richard R.  One of downtown's long lived loft residents ran after the car and child to no avail.

Police have been called to the scene, which is quite emotional as the father is beside himself, and no trace of the other kid on bike.

Im sure this story will develop.

ahhh the wife, even better than the cops and she will never let him forget it.  I am always amazed by people that leave there car running and get out and go into a store or house.
