Myles Jack is What Jaguars Need

If you haven't researched Jack, this guy is an athletic freak. He can play virtually any position on defense. He's the top-ranked linebacker in the draft this year and he's very versatile. Did I mention he can play on offense too?

Agreed. I'm very happy with all of the free-agent signings. Add Jack in the first round of the draft and an edge rusher in the second, continue with all defensive picks unless a special offensive selection falls to the third round or later.

Yeah, he's certainly intriguing but remember he got injured last year ending his season early and left for the NFL a year early so the Jags need to be weary of that and his relatively brief career. Besides, defensively a more pressing need is the deep threat that killed the Jags last year. Definitely an attention-grabbing pick with high reward along with high risk, but the defense's priorities are their priorities.

He better be a "high character" guy if he is a first round draft pick.  I do know Jalen Ramsey is not just a great player but a respected team leader, competitor, and high character guy. Barring injury he is about as "can't miss" as you can get. And fills a position of need.

I'm not sure the deep threat was as big of a deal as our lack of ability to cover the middle of the field.
But that's just going off what I remember.
