Title: Best place for fireworks
Post by: 2Qwick on June 30, 2008, 03:49:40 PM
We have done our own off the dock for the past 5 years but would like to go see some "real" ones this year.  I have heard Friendship park is the place.  Anyone have a better idea for somewhere we can go hang out and have some fun with two 5 year olds?

If you didn't have the 5 year olds, Hooters is a great spot.  I like to get there around 4 o' clock and ride the chicken wings and cold beer for all its worth.  The "view" and the atmosphere are great and you don't have to worry about being shoulder to shoulder with no view.

Since you have the kids, Friendship Fountain is nice or the riverwalk at Fedelity.  Also, the Baptist parking garage on Palm Ave. offers great views as well.  Not sure if it will be closed though.

the best place is the Main St Bridge - when you are allowed on there.  especially awesome when waterfall fireworks come down from the Acosta.

Klutho park will be a blast.
