FDOT has released the 1Q - 2016 bridge rating report for Duval County.

Too many to list, but here are the ones that are rated "SD" or structurally deficient.
The definition of "SD" is as follows:
http://nationalbridges.com/guide-to-ratings (http://nationalbridges.com/guide-to-ratings)
Structurally Deficient
Structurally Deficient is a status used to describe a bridge that has one or more structural defects that require attention. This status does not indicate the severity of the defect but rather that a defect is present. Please see the Structural Evaluation and the Condition ratings of each bridge Deck, Substructure, and Superstructure for details of the nature and severity of the defect(s).
These are state maintained bridges rated as "SD".
SR-115 (Ray Green Bridge) over Trout River (it was one of the worst)
SR-105 Sisters Creek Bridge
SR-105 & SR-A1A Simpson Creek Bridge
US-17 NB Broward River
I-95 Hendricks/Kings/Montana Bridge
I-10 WB over CSXRR
I-95 SB over Nassau River
I-95 NB over Nassau River
Service Road over San Pablo River
SR-103 (Lane Ave.) over Wills Branch
There were municipal bridges listed as well in the report but I have not listed them here.
Bridges of note.
Napoleon Broward Bridge (Dames Point) had a 82.4 Sufficiency Rating (100 is excellent) and a 94 in health.
Fuller Warren was rated in the 90's in both SR and Health.
Elmo Acosta Bridge (NB & SB) had a 94 in SR and 77 in Health.
The John Alsop Bridge (Main Street Bridge) had a 47.4 Sufficiency Rating (second lowest in Duval) but is rated as an 87 in heath. It is considered "Functionally Obsolete"
Functionally Obsolete
Functionally Obsolete is a status used to describe a bridge that is no longer by design functionally adequate for its task. Reasons for this status include that the bridge doesn't have enough lanes to accommodate the traffic flow, it may be a drawbridge on a congested highway, or it may not have space for emergency shoulders. Functionally Obsolete does not communicate anything of a structural nature. A Functionally Obsolete bridge may be perfectly safe and structurally sound, but may be the source of traffic jams or may not have a high enough clearance to allow an oversized vehicle.
This doesn't mean the Alsop is an unsafe bridge, it simply means it is reaching the end of its functional design life. Structurally it is quite sound and has done better than many concrete bridges in the area of the same era.
Not having shoulders and it being a drawbridge makes the Alsop functionally obsolete.
For those not familiar with the state road numbers:
SR-115 (Ray Green Bridge) over Trout River (it was one of the worst) -- Lem Turner Road
SR-105 Sisters Creek Bridge -- Heckscher Drive
SR-105 & SR-A1A Simpson Creek Bridge -- Heckscher Drive
US-17 NB Broward River -- Main Street
I-95 Hendricks/Kings/Montana Bridge -- I-95 Overland Bridge
Sisters Creek is in the process of being replaced, should be done this year I think.

ely
Alsop, Not having a dedicated transit right-of-way over the bridge is another failure, unfortunately not one measured by this survey. ;)
Another in that functionally obsolete category is the so-called Park Street Viaduct (which for the last 130 years has been the Lee Street Viaduct and the original included a remarkable old antique bronze marker which should be found and restored, a FOI request to the city suggests it might be at a northside storage facility).
The new bridge was functionally obsolete from the day it replaced one that was NOT functionally obsolete! The original cleared 15-20 tracks of the Jacksonville Union Terminal railroad station and the new one actually clears just two tracks of the FEC mainline and 0-2 tracks for any future Amtrak/AAF/JTA use, talk about a functional nightmare.
I keep expecting FDOT or the USDOT to show up with reasons why the Grand Avenue Bridge should be destroyed and replaced with a Wal-Mart generic high-rise structure... RAP, Ortega, Fairfax, neighborhood groups ought to be ready for this one.
As is the Overland Bridge.
They can say that the Main Street Bridge is 'functionally obsolete" all that they want to, but it's a top Jax landmark that isn't going anywhere.

um. ok.
Do you disagree that it's a landmark?
^^^Yeah 'when the time comes' meaning in the unforeseeable future after all of us have passed on. Who said that the MSB was 'compromised'? Did a vessel hit it, or something that I don't know about? All bridges need constant upkeep, and the MSB is no different.
The MSB is structurally sound. It's just not designed to current preferred standards (ie. it's a drawbridge and it has no emergency shoulders, etc.).
