I applaud the owners of Cowford's and what they are doing to save the facade of that building.
It goes to show you that if you make it important enough, someone will come through.
I can't wait to raise a toast on the second floor after it opens.
Bmorcreative design studio (http://www.bmorcreative.com/) is currently building out a store front at The Halsema building, next to Crux Collective, at 157 E. 8th Street.
What's up with the Happy Grilled Cheese location? Seems like there hasn't been any progress in months. Case of anything that could go wrong has gone wrong?

+1000 Ditto for the Meeks saving the Elena Flats building too. These are easily the top two of the projects listed. MAYBE, just MAYBE some of the anti-preservationists will open their minds a little when they see those two completed. Not holding my breath though.
Looking forward to the chop house the most. We need a local steakhouse in the area and I can't wait to see the view from the rooftop.
Runner up is finishing the overland bridge, driving that is brutal.

I asked the owner about it at the Riverside Wine Festival and he was hoping to open sometime early in 2016. He said that they ran into a lot of issues and if he was ever to open up another location he would do it where a restaurant already existed.
Folks are doing a lot of good work right now. That chophouse project is damn impressive.
Timoti's seems to be progressing quickly in five points. They also posted online they will start hiring the staff first week of 2016
Once again, Bearded Buffalo WILL NOT be located on King Street.
It will be located at 2600 Blanding Blvd in the old Phoenix Lanes.
But keep posting, month after month, about a 100 seat restaurant and bowling alley in a building that isn't even long enough for a single lane.

Does anyone know (or have a link to a story about) why so much facade of the Chophouse needed to be removed, and is that portion a complete loss or will it be reassembled?
I didn't realize that the "renovation" would in actually be a complete replacement of the structure with just the facade of the old building remaining, but I suppose it was too dilapidated to save?
My understanding is that a corner of the foundation was crumbling due to water intrusion and they had to dismantle the facade to pour new concrete. The facade will be reassembled and then bolted to a structure that will be built within the facade.

I'm glad that old wood found a use, but I wonder why they didn't keep it and find a way to use it in the redone Bostwick.
Does anyone know what, if anything, is actually happening with the San Marco Station project? I have a toddler who's really into trains, so we spend a lot of time in that plaza outside the Panera. We've never seen more than 1-2 guys working on the old waterworks/electric building, and they seem to just be tinkering around the edges. They put in a new awning over what looks like it'll be a front door, but this doesn't seem like a lot of progress for a project that's been going on for something like 3 years now. What gives?
La Nopalera was said to be moving in from down the street. Not sure the status/time frame on that.
