QuoteBrumos Automotive is selling its Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Porsche dealerships and all related operations to Fields Auto Group, the dealer said in a statement.
The transaction is expected to close in mid-February. The terms of the transaction were not announced.
Both Brumos and Fields are privately owned auto groups: Brumos is based in Jacksonville and Fields in Glencoe, Illinois, with dealerships in several states, including Florida. Fields' local operations include Land Rover and Jaguar dealerships in Jacksonville and Cadillac dealerships in Orange Park and St. Augustine.
For Fields Auto Group, the acquisition provides an opportunity to expand in a market the company sees potential in.
"It's always been our policy that when we become active in a town, we become significantly active," said John Fields, CEO of the company, which he started in 1973 in Chicago. "We think Jacksonville is a growing and exciting town to do business in."

Very sad day indeed. Brumos Racing is known the world over, they have one of the most iconic liveries in motorsport. They were even very successful for many years, with 9 championships to their name. Endurance racing just won't be the same without them.

He's just letting the insanity build within him until a grand crescendo where he will "teach those westsiders a lesson" by putting barricades all around Avondale so that nobody from outside the neighborhood can spend money on
the strip and the shops all close down leaving the derelict street he so desperately longs for.

Was it great news when you and your father sold Tab of Northeast Florida?
Of the new owners....Fields Group.
I remember when they were a lowly Saab dealer in Wilmette.
Man, have they grown!
