Title: Two Doors Down CLOSED
Post by: able on December 09, 2015, 12:58:59 PM
It's true. The beloved lunch time restaurant on the corner of Forest and Park has closed for good on November 25th to make way for a proposed Gate gas station. I will surely miss their ham and cabbage, BBQ and the many homestyle sides that made this a favorite lunch spot for so many, for so long.

Yes, I used to love eating there. It will be missed.

An actual gas station will be nice though. The Gate and BP on Stockton are crowded 24/7.

A gas station in that area will be a huge plus.

Especially if they include an automatic car wash.

I'd rather not see a gas station on Park St.  Further down Forest past the highway or across from entrance/exit would be better and let Park develop as the neighborhood commercial walkable corridor.

Gas station can be built as part of a walkable corridor. Of course, I don't put too much faith in the city making that happen.

Exactly!  We all need to push for the right design.
