I worked in that area over a decade ago. I thought it had some potential. Good to see someone doing something with it.

I have not been over there recently but the road with the motels, Dennys and the old Steak and Ale seemed pretty sketchy to me.

Glad to see Baymeadows making a comeback, particularly when done by private companies with their own money. Beats taxpayer-funded boondoogles every day. When companies plow 100% of their own money into something, they will work a lot harder to try to make it pay off.

Just landed another company. Occupancy will be up to about 78.

QuoteDigital Risk moving to Prominence office park

By Karen Brune Mathis, Managing Editor

Prominence office park in Baymeadows is gaining another tenant — Digital Risk LLC.
Digital Risk, a financial services company, will relocate 320 employees from JTB Center, at 5011 Gate Parkway, to 8900 Freedom Commerce Parkway, according to spokeswoman Brandie Young.

Young said the move will take place in mid-January, the month the lease expires at Gate Parkway.

"The company opted for the new, larger space largely because of the improved amenities for employees, such as increased parking, restaurants and cafeteria," Young said.

Here's a thought for the partners...

PEDESTRIANS!

How many times have I followed a JTA bus through that development and watched it disgorge office workers into the mud and grass?

SIDEWALKS!

CROSSWALKS!

BUS SHELTERS!
