Hmm, doesn't sound so good....
QuoteLatitude 360's landlord has filed paperwork to evict the entertainment company from its Jacksonville and Indianapolis locations, saying the Jacksonville company owes $3 million in past rent and other charges.
The motion for final judgement is part of a lawsuit that was started a month ago by 30 West Pershing, a limited liability company based in Missouri.
The entertainment venue company is leasing both the Indianapolis and Jacksonville locations from West Pershing; the unpaid rent, Latitude 360 CEO Brent Brown said, is related only to the site in Indianapolis.
"Obviously we're going to work it out," Brown said. "We were hoping we could work it out outside the courts."

Was there last weekend. Place was packed. 4 parties in the restarant plus a UF Booster Club event. More people were coming in when we left.
Sounds like a repeat of Whisky River.
They will keep going until the landlord locks them out.
If paychecks are being delayed and they arent paying the rent, then where is the money going?
I wonder the same. Despite the place being packed, they clearly have a problem with paying their debts on time. No one owed money wants to continuously put up with that crap.
I was there yesterday with my son for a friend's birthday party. The bowling alley was packed. The restaurant/bar was crowded with people watching football. The place is always busy. It would be a shame if it closes.
I'd hate to see them go out of business. I much prefer Dave & Busters over Lat 360 though. Props to them for making bowling "cool" again.
Definetly something shady going on over there. That place has been packed from the minute its doors opened for business. If they're not paying employees and not paying rent, where is all that cash going?
Business is great there. Something shady is definately going on... However, on the other hand I was expecting business to "slow down" once Top Golf came.

They could be trying to support other failing locations with anything they have (money from Jax). OR they're just pocketing it all until the whole thing crashes down then trying to walk away.
Not looking good:
"Latitude 360's Indianapolis location shut down, Jacksonville employees' paychecks bouncing"

We used up the rest of our gift cards last week and will cancel the monthly subscription as soon as the doors get locked.
Costco was still selling gift card packs and I warned the manager that the press was reporting a pending foreclosure. He said Costco Corporate would resolve any issues when they arise.

Good call. I got a couple gift cards from networking a couple years back and still haven't used em. I may never get a chance...

What was the subscription for? I didn't know they had one...
Lat360 offfered a monthly subscription that offered movies, 1 hour of bowling, pre-paid game room cards and concierge service. We did it because it was a cheap way to see kids matinees and get game room time.
But even the kids were starting to notice that the games were broken alot and the prizes were from Costco or Amazon.
Such a shame... this place had a lot of business / potential. Hopefully someone can step in soon so it doesn't become a deadspot.
Thanks, I didn't know about that.
This must be due to mismanagement, the place always seemed busy and the drinks weren't exactly cheap.
Very sad to get bounced checks for those employees, especially around Christmas.
Yeah the situation is beyond sketchy. I went a few times when the Jax Seminole Club had watch parties there and my tabs were never less than $40 for a single person after taxes & tip.
Guess it's a good thing they didn't open up downtown...
Is the Club Paris guy secretly managing this place ? Sounds the same. A venue that is always crowded and busy yet still loosing money hand over fist. Maybe D& B can take over the space and make it work.

I think D&B (which isn't too far) has a successful operation. They've been there for years and always seem busy.
Were I to wager a guess, these guys put too much of their money and energy into growing in other markets and not enough keeping their cash cow in Jax profitable. It's a pity to see people with what's obviously a hit idea struggle like this.
So is anything actually official specific to JAX? I know of more than one Holiday party booked later in the month with large groups.

Good article, thanks for posting. Something tells me that karma will be coming around fairly soon.
Photography in the BF article was by JAX's own, Laura Heald.
Good article. It doesn't paint Mr. Brown in a good light. You always have to be cautious around people who promise big short term returns with no rational nexus of how to achieve them. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
