Title: JaxNAP Grows
Post by: spuwho on September 15, 2015, 04:32:15 PM
Per the JBJ;

Several South American telcos have cut deals with a non-aligned integrator, Cologix to expand their presence in the new Jacksonville based NAP.

The NAP, housed at 421 W. Church is a location where various fiber carriers can come together and transfer voice and data traffic.

The latest new carriers passing data into Jax include:

Cable Andino (Ecuador)
Setar (Aruba)
UTS (Caribbean Islands)

A new subsea fiber route was recently completed to Jacksonville. The desire is to bypass Miami and move US fiber links farther north.

The new fiber will also improve connectivity support with Puerto Rico, Panama, British VI, Aruba, and Colombia.
