Florida, as a whole, isn't known for manufacturing.

Okay, thanks. I thought maybe it was because Jacksonville's was bigger or smaller than the rest of the State. Or maybe it was the types of manufacturing, etc.

There is a cool table on the website of the National Association of Manufacturers that you can sort to show different state manufacturing output here: http://www.nam.org/Data-and-Reports/State-Manufacturing-Data/2014-State-Manufacturing-Data/2014-State-Manufacturing-Data-Table/ (http://www.nam.org/Data-and-Reports/State-Manufacturing-Data/2014-State-Manufacturing-Data/2014-State-Manufacturing-Data-Table/).

While Florida ranks 20th on total output ($39B is nothing to sneeze at), I added a population and per capita column on my own spreadsheet and sure enough, Florida ranks 49 out of 50 in per capita manufacturing output at around $2,100.  I'm sure there are myriad reasons for this ranking, about which the members of this forum can speculate (Florida's age distribution, reliance on tourism and agriculture, etc.).

Interestingly, Oregon is killing it, at around $17,000 per capita output, mostly due to Intel according to this article: http://economy.money.cnn.com/2013/06/10/oregon-manufacturing-powerhouse/ (http://economy.money.cnn.com/2013/06/10/oregon-manufacturing-powerhouse/).

Not sure if it counts as manufacturing, but Hardball Creative and Fanatics both have very large printing / embroidery operations.

.....................farming/cattle ranches. Yet we do both.   We are known for vacations to the beach or Disney.

It seems like we also make glass bottles, aluminum cans, luxury yatchs and aircraft subassemblies like galleys.
