Title: Erika and Jax Gas Prices
Post by: spuwho on August 28, 2015, 12:29:09 PM
The day after the NWS Hurricane Center updated their 5 day cone for Erika, retail gas prices in Jacksonville rose 10 cents per gallon.

Expect more price hikes as the atmospheric disturbance gets closer to the Florida coast.

(Removed references to Erika as a "hurricane")

Isn't that price gouging?  It should be reported.

Tropical Storm Erika.

It's not projected to ever become a hurricane given the current track.

Are you sure it's jax specific? The price of oil went up the past few days:

The prices went back down this morning by 11 cents at a few stations. Oddly Erika became a simple tropical low yesterday.

Stations on Atlantic mostly. The ones on Beach (except for one) never waivered.

Its not a conspiracy or anything, just some station owners jumping the gun it seems.
