Title: Kitchen on San Marco
Post by: MusicMan on August 12, 2015, 09:01:44 AM
Enjoyed my first meal here last night. Came away pretty impressed. The menu reminded me of Black Sheep. Nicely done interior and 20 beers on tap. Would like to know if anyone else has been there and what they thought.

For the record, the kitchen staff are full time professionals, not "students." Although there are some students working internships in the kitchen, it is a thoroughly professionally run restaurant.

I ate there this past Friday night. Loved the burger and the Nashville fried chicken.

I went there right when they opened and really enjoyed the food.  I walked past it last thursday and it looked pretty empty at about 5:30.  I hope they get a decent lunch crowd or a later dinner crowd.

Last Friday, I was there around 830 or so. The crowd was decent, at least that night.

Still haven't been, but I intend to soon. I've heard good things.

I have been three times now and enjoyed the atmosphere and food each time.  They have a lot of shareable smaller plates on their menu, as well as 4-5 large entrĂ©e portion plates.  They have unique options on the menu you will not see at very many Jax restaurants.  I had bone marrow and duck wings for the first time (both very good btw).

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out. I've had Prince's hot chicken in Nashville. I like the "kitchens' menu & will give it a go.
